Venus Williams and Lindsay Davenport They both played their heart out in a classic Wimbledon match. Venus Williams and Lindsay Davenport are both champions in my mind even though Venus eventually won. I watched from the opening serve until the point and it was a honor. I don’t usually think like that about sports (even though I played college football). But sometimes we humans do great things while playing a game and it deserves to be recognized and applauded.
