I’m high yella! I die with the Latinos in the film!

I couldn’t agree with Nick Schager’s review of the disaster flick Poseidon more (although I laughed alot more than Mr. Schager probably did).
And for those of you who don’t know what high yella means, it’s a old term that we black folks use to describe the lighter-skinned variations of us. Just look at my picture in the corner. Classic high yella! So remember that while reading Mr. Schager’s review.

HAHAHA!! Let those crusty (literally and figuratively) movie critics all bow down to the power of the silly cinema!
‘Scary Movie’ Sends Weinsteins to the Top
By DAVID GERMAIN, AP Movie Writer
LOS ANGELES - Bob and Harvey Weinstein returned to the box-office lead as “Scary Movie 4″ debuted with $41 million, the first No. 1 opening for the new company founded by the former Miramax bosses.
It was the best Easter weekend debut ever, beating the $30.1 million opening of “Panic Room” in 2002, according to studio estimates Sunday.
With the success of “Scary Movie...
“United 93″ and The Outraged

I got into a heated discussion with a co-worker of mine concerning the upcoming movie United 93 that chronicles what happened on Flight 93 on September 11th. To be honest, he was much more heated than I but I digress.
My co-worker’s main point was that Hollywood’s “sickenly liberal bias and lack of morality” is why they would “exploit the heroes of Flight 93 with a bullshit movie so soon”. I replied that there were movies made about World War II during and soon after World War II like Gung Ho! (1943), The Way Ahead (1944), and Go for Broke! (1951). I emphasized...
Just debating to no end…

Why do some people spend large amounts of time criticizing the opinions of other people when it comes to movies? I emphasize large amounts of time. A discussion here or there is fine. But have you gone to some of these Internet movie forums and see the EXTREMELY long threads about a movie such as Undercover Brother (shown in 2002)? It’s kind of disturbing how crazy people get when someone has a different opinion about a movie. Our brains don’t orbit the same sun many times so opinion will be varied. I really get a laugh out of reading a thread where multiple people, who like the...
Better hit Netflix, girlfriend!

Guess what Flick Chick? Your Horror to end all horrors: Bad scary movies article is quite bad itself. You list these movies:
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998)
Alien 3 (1992)
Children of the Corn (1984)
April Fool’s Day (1986)
The Wraith (1986)
Uh, excuse me Flick Click. If this is the best you can do when it comes to bad scary movies, you need to watch more scary flicks, chick. That list is positively the WORST bad scary movie list I’ve ever seen. What about Halloween III: Season Of The Witch? Deep Space? Modern Vampires?
Better luck next time.
Run! Run! Run!!!

I like to think of myself as the ultra flexible movie watcher. I’ll pretty much watch anything since I have an EXTREMELY open mind when it comes to movies. It irks some people but hey, it beats eating cold scrambled eggs. So when a friend of mine recommended Run Lola Run starring Franka Potente and said it was pure style, I didn’t run screaming into the Nexus. And my dear readers, the movie is pure style and so very good (in my opinion of course). A quick plot summary of the movie (via IMDB and written by Jeremy Perkins):
At home, Lola gets a call from her frightened boyfriend...
