I’ve been running SETI@home for three years. For those who don’t know what SETI@home is, here ya go:
SETI@home is a scientific experiment that uses Internet-connected computers in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). You can participate by running a free program that downloads and analyzes radio telescope data.
I know some of you are chuckling at this. Bah! Party poopers. It’s a small program, doesn’t take up alot of bandwidth or CPU time, and is kind of cool. Besides, you never know. You may be the one that finds out that Elvis is still alive on the...
American Idol LADIES 03/07

It’s weird how much how like the above two female American Idol contestants. Mandisa (left) and Kellie (right) have personalities that have just grabbed me. Like Dean, I thought Kellie’s whole innocent angle was fake. Not anymore. And I don’t think it’s all about her being innocent as being extra excited about the whole AI experience (hard knock life for her). Mandisa has such a warm and inviting vibe about her. Mandisa brought...

It’s kind of disturbing how crazy people get when someone has a different opinion about a movie. Our brains don’t orbit the same sun many times so opinion will be varied. I really get a laugh out of reading a thread where multiple people, who like the...

The blog may be running slow for a little while or may not be available while I back up EVERYTHING this time. Doesn’t take me multiple times to learn a lesson.
Over a month…

…down the drain! I had the worst MySQL database error that I’ve ever experienced and lost the entire database. I had backups running but they stopped on January 20th. So when I restored the database, I’m minus entries from January 21st to present. Am I mad? Nope. Peeved? Naa. Amused? Very much so. Actually, I didn’t really care for what I was writing the past month and a half (with the exception of a couple of Esther Dyson posts) so this is just the Server Gods way of telling me:
Write the shit you really feel!
Call it a fresh start. No worries. Onward and upward!
