Richard Pryor hangin’ in there

Comedian George Lopez and the legendary comedian Richard Pryor taken in June 2005. It pains me to see how multiple sclerosis has tore into Richard Pryor. I’m not going to lie. I damn near shed a tear when I saw this picture. But ol’ Pryor is hanging tough. He even keeps a blog of sorts on his official site with the help of his wife Jenny. Glad to see he hasn’t lost any of his edge. The man is still orney, pissed off, foul, and too damn funny.

So many comedians look at Richard Pryor as the Uber Comedian. In his stand-up routines, the man could take any situation, and I mean any situation, and find the humor in it. Just an amazing talent and an amazing man. Keep on rollin’, Rich!

   I grew up watching Richard Pryor and have always loved him. His movies with Gene Wilder are priceless!
