Watching the sanity seep out…

I wrote the following in an earlier blog entry about Cindy Sheehan (mother of Spc. Casey Sheehan, KIA in Iraq) :

Cindy Sheehan lost her son in a war. Regardless of what she said the first time to President Bush and what she is saying know, she’s entitled to be a little crazy. Not everyone deals with grief the same way. So stop using her! Both sides! ENOUGH!

Watching her now, I fully realize that we’re watching a person go insane and it isn’t cool. Heck, it’s ugly. I said she was a little crazy over the death of her son (which I defended). Now this woman is just saying anything at anytime. When I read that she said occupied New Orleans, I really knew she sees insanity ahead and can’t wait to get there. Baldilocks adds:

The sad thing is that losing her son has apparently driven Cindy Sheehan (even farther) around the bend. She has become a spectacle, a limelight addict; not caring how she gets on that stage. And having been eclipsed by a city-destroying perfect storm, she acts boldly to re-assert her place in the light even if it means evoking a vengeful God, spewing the nonsensical, and stating the exact opposite of the leftist talking points in order to bash and blame President Bush. No stinking storm and a bunch of homeless black people are going to steal her show, no sirree. At least not for very long.

Seems like it. But since I’m a dictator with no love of Democrats and Republicans (accept home gurl Condi Rice), I’m not adopting any of their opinions of her. I’m not even going to crack jokes about Cindy Sheehan. And I’m certainly not going to surmise what a dead man (Mrs. Sheehan’s son) is “thinking” about his mom now since that is just strange-weird. Not that I don’t indulge in a little strange-weird myself. Just not today. I hope someone near her sees the sickly light of insanity ahead and pulls ol’ Cindy back since she probably won’t come back herself. Human train wrecks are not always entertaining.

Here’s an excerpt from Cindy Sheehan’s latest dross at the Huffington Post (h/t: John Hawkins):The vast majority of people who were looting in New Orleans were doing so to feed their families or to get resources to get their families out of there. If I…
