Watching the looters in down New Orleans on various news shows, I was struck by what most of them were stealing: diapers, food, and clothing. And then we hear how people can’t get out due to breached levees. Add to that the shortages of food, fresh water (no running water), no electricity, and a worsening situation by the minute, are those people that are “looting” necessarily wrong? My brother and I are in the beginning stages of coordinating an Electrician Task Force to help our fellow citizens down Louisiana and Mississippi. My brother is a master electrician and I’m a lowly apprentice (under him but learning). We’re going to start contacting local Michigan contractors at first to get the word out.
